Our Story
The Each Child Foundation began with a moment of clarity that changed everything. When our founder learned that every $1 invested in early childhood could return up to $18 in long‑term outcomes, he recognized the extraordinary power of early learning. The research was unmistakable, early education is one of the most effective, proven pathways to improving a child’s future.
However, the evidence pointed to something larger: children thrive when stable housing, reliable food access, and strong health reinforce early learning supports. Even the most effective early education programs cannot reach their full impact when a child is hungry, frequently moving, or struggling with untreated health needs.
The data pointed toward a broader commitment to the foundational supports that enable children to learn and thrive. Across communities, these supports often exist, but they operate in silos. A child may receive help in one area and still struggle in another, not because services are not available, but because those systems too often function in ways that do not reflect the realities of a child’s life. From that insight, The Each Child Foundation was created.
